Raipur Dec 10, 2019. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that 15 quintals of paddy per acre will be purchased from every farmer. For this, whether the time for the last date of paddy purchase has to be increased or the paddy should be taken in installments. Chief Minister in the police line ground on Tuesday morning

These things were told by media persons before leaving for a tour of Balod and Balodabazar district. The Chief Minister appealed to the farmers not to pay attention to the rumors being spread regarding the paddy purchase, saying that the runoff is spreading those who have been brokering paddy procurement and consuming paddy from other states in Chhattisgarh.

He further said that the state government has taken several steps to ensure smooth and orderly arrangement of paddy purchase. If any officers or employees harass the farmers, strict action will be taken against them. The government of Chhattisgarh is the government of farmers. The interest of farmers is paramount. The farmers have full confidence in the state government. I assure that the interests of the farmers will be taken care of.
